Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear & bring?
Please check with the wedding couple for any specific instructions on attire, but generally this is what we recommend you wear and bring to the venue:
1. Comfortable footwear. Most weddings take place in our meadow, which is located a short walk down a gravel path. Please plan accordingly and wear comfortable footwear so that you can relax and enjoy the peaceful country setting. While you are here, you may want to wander out into our fields, play games in the yard, two-step in cowboy boots, or take pictures in the meadows.
Although the path to the meadow is not paved, the grade is moderate so that scooters and other devices may travel it. We are also happy to offer a golf cart shuttle for guests with limited mobility.
2. Layers. The weather in Montana is unpredictable, so please bring plenty of layers so that you can adjust for hot or cold. For spring weddings, please bring warm jackets and raincoats in case we experience heavy rainfall or a surprise snowstorm. For summer weddings, we recommend cool clothing and shade hats, along with a light layer in case of a thunderstorm. For fall, we suggest boots and warm coats, as the days may be warm, but the nights can be chilly. For winter, please bring heavy coats and snow boots. Our “Seasonal Highlights” page has more information about the weather at different times of year and can be accessed here.
3. Medications. Our venue is located off the beaten path in a wild, natural setting. Please bring any medications that you need for the day, including seasonal allergy medicine and EpiPens.
