Kid-Friendly Activities Near the Rugged Horizon Wedding Venue
Kids love to roam in Montana’s wild open spaces. Below, we collect some of our favorite activities near Rugged Horizon for children. They include birding, fishing, splashing in the water, and slurping huckleberry milkshakes.
Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge
Let your children explore this diverse wetland habitat. See how many different species of birds they can identify — perhaps swans, eagles, hawks, mallard ducks, or pheasants. Ninepipe Reservoir has fishing access for young anglers, but please be sure to buy a joint Flathead Reservation Use and Conservation Permit and Fishing Stamp and to follow all applicable regulations.

Ronan Park
During the hot summer months, kids love to splash in the sprinklers and dip their toes in the creek that runs through the Ronan Park. If they don’t want to get wet, they can dawdle along the shaded trails or climb on the playground equipment.
A Carousel for Missoula
Kids will shriek with glee as they ride their favorite steed around on this hand-carved carousel in downtown Missoula.
Huckleberry Milkshakes
Taste Montana! Treat your little ones to a huckleberry milkshake or a huckleberry lemonade at one of these local shops:
